Dormitory
Provision for the amenities and convenience that are to be provided for the students in the dormitories has been one of the primary concerns of the institution since inception. Care has been taken to make the hostels appear less like hostels and more like homes, so that opportunity for creativity and learning are guaranteed. The boarders are entrusted to the care of experienced staff, separate for boys and the girls, with their dormitories, spacious, well ventilated and lit, with attached toilets. In addition the following have been catered for:
Hot baths and showers
Bedding, including blankets and bed-sheets are provided by the school. Toilet requisites are provided by the school at cost.
The boarders receive a well nutritious diet. The menu is changed monthly to provide variety. Mutton, chicken, and fish are served with plenty of seasonal vegetables and fruit. Special diet is offered to vegetarians.
There is a Medical Room with a resident medical attendant. Medical examinations for boarders are carried out regularly by the attending school physician.
The school has an ambulance so that in an emergency, no time is wasted in rushing the sick to hospital.
Clothing:
The clothing list is given in a separate sheet. All items are available with the suppliers at Mohni Store and Lila Brothers both at Police Bazaar, Shillong Ph:(0364)2223492; (0364)2223374 respectively.
